When 71% of our planet is covered in saltwater, shouldn’t our energy storage come from it? Salty Marine Batteries believes the
next leap in power is literally oceans deep.
By using abundant sodium from saltwater instead of scarce lithium, we’re creating a safer, more sustainable battery for a
world that runs on energy.

By using abundant sodium from saltwater instead of scarce lithium, we’re creating a safer, more sustainable battery for a world that runs on energy.
Our mainstay “Turbo-Boost”™ (Patents-pending) Salty Marine Batteries, deliver 113 Ahr at ABOVE 12volt right down to the last
5 to 10% of the Battery capacity. That means your electronic and motor loads, do not risk trip-out or burn-out, and you no longer
need to use the heaviest gauge wiring.
Many Lithium and lead based batteries run down to 11.0v, 10.5v and even 10v, to claim that they can deliver as much of the available
charge as is possible. However, a lithium Ion, LFP or lead acid battery at such low State Of Charge (SOC) conditions, could suffer an
irreversible shortening of life. Some batteries may never return from these levels or accept and hold a normal charge again.
At lower and lower voltages, the loads will draw more and more Amps producing more loss through heat (by the square-law), thereby
requiring thicker cables. Uniquely, Sodium Ion batteries can be safely taken down to these low voltage levels, without any discernable
effect on life-cycles or ‘round-trip’ efficiency. Our Salty Marine Turbo Boosted™ batteries allow a 12v load to run normally at its
designed 12v without slowing down motor operation, overheating cabling or tripping out breakers.
Our Turbo Boost electronic controller does this by building extra cell capacity into the physical battery pack, that is electrically
added to the basic battery voltage, whenever the voltage goes below 12v. This boost takes the voltage back to almost 100% of the
fully charged voltage, where it delivers the remaining 40+% of the battery energy all at above 12volts.

The Sodium Ion Battery addresses the challenge of delivering over 90% of nominal battery energy at 12 volts and above by utilizing an Electronic Storage System (ESS) management controller that boosts the load voltage with an additional series-connected battery cell.
The following diagram illustrates the output voltages of various battery chemistries, highlighting that the regular Sodium Ion, shown second from the bottom, has a wide voltage range from zero to 15.8 volts.
The comparison demonstrates how the Sodium Ion Battery elevates the energy curve to 12 volts and above, delivering 90% of nominal battery energy, effectively doubling the capacity of a regular SIB and providing over twice the energy of a premium quality AGM battery.
The following diagram displays energy and voltage measurements from a laboratory test of a Premium AGM and a Boosted Sodium Ion Battery with similar nominal Amp-Hour capacities, illustrating that the battery provides approximately 360% more energy than the AGM, all above 12 volts. While the AGM can safely discharge down to 10 volts, it risks reduced battery life and capacity with repeated use, and both AGM and lithium batteries enter a critical operating region below 10 volts where irreversible damage can occur. In contrast, the Turbo Boost remains unharmed at these lower voltages and delivers its results at a lower cost than LFP, Lithium Ion, or AGM batteries.

Salty Marine was founded not in a lab, but in the engine rooms of yachts—where real-world problems demand real solutions.
After decades servicing power systems on marine vessels, Jake Stratmann grew tired of watching battery failures ruin critical operations and customer experiences. So, he built a better one.
Our proprietary Turbo-Boost™ Sodium-Ion system is the result: a safer, smarter, and more rugged alternative to lithium. It charges in as little as 15 minutes, delivers consistent voltage through nearly 100% of its cycle, safely discharges to 0%, and eliminates the fire risk that plagues lithium tech.
Powered by Earth’s most abundant resource—salt—and refined through hands-on experience, this isn’t an incremental improvement. It’s a practical leap forward in energy storage, ready for the harshest conditions and highest demands.
The global marine battery market alone represents a $1B+ opportunity, rapidly expanding as boaters and industries alike seek greener, more reliable technology.

Salty Marine Batteries isn’t chasing lab specs—
we’re building a battery that works where it matters most: in the real world.
Powered by abundant, non-toxic sodium from seawater, our Turbo Boost batteries deliver over
90% of their energy above 12 volts—more than double the usable capacity of standard AGM or
regular sodium-ion options. Lab tests show up to 360% more usable energy than premium AGM,
all while avoiding the voltage drop-offs that shorten battery life in traditional systems.
Unlike lithium or AGM batteries, which risk damage below 10 volts, our battery stays stable and safe—even
when fully drained. That means consistent power, safer performance, and a longer lifespan—at a lower cost
than LFP, lithium-ion, or AGM systems.

Safe, stable, and rapid-charging
Built and tested in the U.S., with Navy-grade field testing underway
Ideal for yachts, fleets, backup systems, and off-grid energy
Vertically integrated for faster innovation and full quality control
When we claim our batteries are safe, durable, and powerful, we’re not just asking you to take our word for it – we let the toughest critics test them. Salty Marine Batteries has been working closely with the U.S. Department of Defense community to validate our technology in the most demanding settings:
U.S. Navy Testing (NAWCAD & ONR): Our batteries are undergoing evaluation with the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD) and related Navy labs. Early prototype units have been delivered for field testing at NAWCAD facilities, where they are proving their performance in real maritime environments.
The Office of Naval Research (ONR) has also shown interest, as the Navy seeks safer, more resilient power for ships and autonomous vehicles. Achieving Navy-grade standards (like MIL-STD safety and shock certifications) is a core milestone for us – and we’re well on our way. Military validation means our technology can handle extreme conditions of combat and sea, giving confidence that it can handle anything in civilian life.
While initially engineered for the rigorous marine environment, the broader application of our sodium-ion energy storage is experiencing rapid growth across diverse, high-demand sectors:
Transitioning to safer, sustainable, and reliable non-lithium battery solutions for critical applications.
Growing need for safer, sustainable off-grid energy storage.
Increasing adoption of safer, cost-effective alternatives to lithium-ion for home energy independence.
Rapidly shifting from lead-acid to advanced batteries for better range, performance, and less maintenance.
These expanding markets clearly demonstrate the scalable potential and broader commercial viability of
our sodium-ion technology, far beyond our marine origins.
